Villa Britannia truly is a taste of la dolce vita as the Italians say. Louisa made our stay as pleasant as possible and was great and easy to communicate with prior to and during our time in Taormina. The villa is top notch with wonderful views from any of the multiple terraces located on property. The home itself is beautifully furnished with a kitchen that had all the amenities that allowed us to make it home. The garden was fun to explore and Louisa gave a tour of the property and the adjoining home that was rich with history. The garage is close, and easy to work with and great to have if you're renting a vehicle. While you don't need it to get into town (Bam Bar is only a 12 minute stroll away), it's perfect if you're going up to Castelmola (20 minutes away by car), and just a fifteen minute drive down to the Isola Bella beach. Me and my family would highly recommend this stay to anyone fortunate enough to visit this gem of the Mediterranean and we would happily stay here again.

Villa Britannia was an idyllic setting for our Taormina vacation. Our experience exceeded the already high expectations we had upon booking. The house and garden are picturesque. They also have a fascinating history, as we learned from consummate host Louisa. Those in our group who spent most of their time in the villa found it comfortable and serene. Those who ventured out each day to town were happy to feel tucked away from the crowds once they returned. All of us delighted in the breeze and views, and we hope to return!

Incredible stay at Villa Britannia! The Villa itself was really neat - each room was large and had its own bathroom. Huge chefs kitchen, lovely terrace, and the bar inside was very cool. Louisa and Marco were both super friendly and provided great restaurant and activity recs both before and during the stay that my family very much enjoyed. Absolutely would recommend staying here!

Don't hesitate - book the most incredible home in all of Taormina. Louisa's home is immaculate, amazing art, and the most comfortable home we have ever enjoyed in our two decades of traveling. We have been to Taormina multiple times. The kitchen, the bar/living room, and the upstairs area are unlike anything or anyplace we have experienced in Sicily. Then you go outside, and the view takes your breath away. The gardens are tranquil, and walking to Corso Umberto is unbeatable (no steps, which is unbelievable). On top of it all, Louisa is a gifted, caring, and excellent host - she's exceptional. Take her cooking class! You'll make beautiful memories if you have the opportunity to enjoy this magnificent home. Where else can you stay, and there's a tomb of a Roman soldier. Book now, and if you can, stay a few extra days, you can thank Louisa afterward!

Louisa and Marco were wonderful hosts. They were welcoming, kind, and super easy to communicate with. They gave us fantastic excursion and restaurant recommendations as well. The villa is beautiful, clean, quiet and private, and in perfect walking distance to all shops and restaurants in Taormina. Would absolutely go back and stay here again. Thank you Louisa and Marco for a lovely stay in Taormina!

We encountered hosts + villa we can honestly say—-amazing + even more than we expected! Louisa + Chiara were so wonderful + accommodating, suggesting local activities + restaurants, booking our wish list + providing great advice. The villa is absolutely beautiful, spacious + decorated with the most eclectic artwork. There is A/C in the two bedrooms for comfortable sleeping and numerous porches and balconies to sit and have a meal or cooling drink in the afternoon. The views are lovely + we enjoyed breakfast daily on the porch off our bedroom overlooking Taormina. It is about a 7 minute walk down the hillside to the center of town. You will really appreciate your private retreat of Villa Britannia after a busy day in town or the beach! There is also a large gourmet kitchen stocked with all you need if you love to “cook at home”. Louisa provided us with eggs, milk , cold bottles of water + bread on arrival which was very sweet. This is perfect for couples, families or bride and groom. ❤︎

Stay here if you are in Taormina! Louisa could not have been more helpful and kind to us during our week there. Her place is beautiful and peaceful and only a very short walk to the center of town. It was spotlessly clean and spacious with a gorgeous garden and old Roman tomb that our kids were fascinated by. We will definitely stay there again if we find ourselves in Taormina!

This home felt like an artist’s colony in a real neighborhood where locals lived but within a 10 min walk from the major pedestrian areas. The home has great outdoor spaces with sweeping views. It was special. Our hosts were responsive and kind and welcoming. 10/10 We would definitely stay again. My only regret is not taking a cooking class from Louisa!

Louisa’s home is absolutely perfect for a family to stay in Taormina. From the garden, to the kitchen purpose-built for cooking, to the living room and immaculate views of the sea — it really is an amazing property. I would recommend this home for anyone visiting beautiful Taormina, and you will make incredibly memories!

This is, hands down, the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at, and Louisa is the best host imaginable – and believe me, I've stayed at a lot of Airbnbs! The villa itself is absolutely gorgeous, boasting amazing views that you'll never tire of. From start to finish, Louisa and Chiara communicated impeccably. She provided incredibly detailed and helpful instructions for everything, from how to park to how to arrive seamlessly. It was clear she had thought of all the little things, because everything was covered – we never found ourselves needing to reach out for anything. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was a huge bonus, and she even offered to do our laundry and helped us with dinner recommendations and reservations. We would hands down recommend this place to anyone. The location is also fantastic, being close to all the main attractions on Corso Umberto. You truly won't find a better experience!

I, my wife and our 10-11 month baby had a fantastic one month stay at Villa Britannia. The beautiful villa had everything we looked for: great location, a lovely garden (in which "The Snake" by DH Lawrence was written), a big kitchen (great for perfecting Pasta alla Norma), seaview and parking (the large garage could easily fit our quite long estate car). Louisa and her husband Marco are lovely people and provided service on a far higher level than most Airbnb-hosts. Any minor issues were quickly sorted out. Louisa would bring us wines to try and proactively let us know about events in town or traffic challenges, as well as giving great recommendations and help with any problem. We were provided with a baby cot, a baby bath, several (!) baby chairs and lots of toys. Could not ask for more. We really hope to be back one day!

make sure it was fixed and that we were satisfied. Villa Brittania is a beautiful place to stay. Close to town and the main shopping and dining area. Also within walking distance of the Teatro Taormina and the public gardens. Louisa was a gracious host willing to help when needed with laundry, directions, recommendations, calling cans, etc.

We really enjoyed our stay in Taormina at Louisa’s place. Louisa is wonderful, very warm, friendly and helpful. She made us feel welcome and appreciated. We felt fortunate to find such a great place to stay. The place is gorgeous, it has that lovely, classic Sicilian villa feel to it. It was a joy to stay in during a few of the rainy days of our stay. The villa is very well located, just a 7 minute walk from the main walking street (Corso Umberto). It also has a private parking garage which is a difficult amenity to find in Taormina. It was a huge plus for us as we were touring Sicily by car. There’s a large, eat-in kitchen with literally everything you need on hand, the bedrooms upstairs are comfortable, with en suit baths. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms and actually everything was very clean. The provided fruit, coffee and a bottle of wine from Louisa were a nice touch. We will stay here again and look forward to our next visit. Highly recommended. Thank you Louis

Dear Louisa and Marco, Thank you both for making our stay in Taormina so wonderful. Your hospitality and kindness truly made us feel at home, and we really appreciated all the thoughtful touches in the Airbnb. The place was beautiful, comfortable, and making our time here even more enjoyable. Thank you again for everything, I hope to return someday!

Louisa made us feel like we had arrived home and in paradise all at once. Her warm reception, generous hamper including all the essentials including fresh produce, bread and milk, and induction into the home was the perfect reception. We fell in love with the house and location immediately. We had to remind ourselves to venture out and explore the sites as we could have stayed at the house all week, cooking our own meals with the fully stocked kitchen, and overlooking the ocean from our balcony with what was the best view of the ocean that we had while dining in Taormina. The terrace and garden provided ample space for our active toddler to explore and play. The secure parking spot was a draw card. Louisa assisted us with our washing (a huge bonus for a family with two kids) and actively sought to assist us with any enquiries to aid a relaxing and enjoyable week. This was our favourite spot during our 4 week tour of Italy. Thank you Louisa.

Fantastic place to stay. Great location, large, great for families. Walking distance to everything and great parking (we had a 9 seater van). Louisa is a fantastic host. Helped with everything we needed, even a Birthday cake. Highly recommended.

We traveled as a family of four with a 6 year old and 1 year old. This place was perfect and beyond. Louisa had baby chair, toys, cleaning and laundry service, and even helped us get a baby carrier! Literally, look no further and book this place.
